Why should I buy from Peerless Handcraft?
These products are designed to last. We are rigorous with design, paying attention to every last detail and the selection of materials.
The name Peerless Handcraft spells out meticulous care in the fabrication of each piece.
We love what we do so it's easy to satisfy our clients and ourselves.
What's the payment policy?
A 50% non-refundable deposit confirms your project in the build calendar. The remainder is due as the order nears completion. Payment can be made by credit card or check.
How long will my order take to complete?
Each project is unique. An estimated time can be given right away, just ask. An actual completion time is given as part of the order process.
What's the cancellation/refund policy?
Refunds are not available because we provide full customer service during the order process. The opportunity to think over your project is a big part of this dialogue. At our highly customized studio, once a deposit is paid, materials are purchased and selected with care for your unique project.
Do you make more items not shown on this website?
We make lots of beautiful things, big and small. If you don't see a piece on this site, please DO ask. When the shop is busy there isn't always time to upload new photos. You can also check @peerlesshandcraft to see what we're up to.
Can I get samples?
We always have samples of our popular finishes and upholstery to send at no charge. Custom samples are supplied quickly for a small fee.
What about custom work?
Collaboration is a good thing so don't hesitate to reveal what you have in mind.
What kind of wood do you use?
Historic species like walnut, quartersawn oak, birch, and maple stand the test of time in strength and durability and are raw materials we use. Other species are thoughtfully chosen to enliven a particular design.
Is handcraft really such a big deal?
There's Timex and there's Rolex. We look at handcraft with this in mind. Time-tested practices and modern innovation combine smartly in our workshop. Function is the benchmark, the execution of beauty and value beyond ordinary usefulness results from skilled labor. This is where we mention how respectful we are of past and present innovators who inspire us and hope we springboard others to work with their head, heart, and hands and thank you for supporting small businesses!
What about responsible practices?
Sustainability comes in many forms, two of which are producing and purchasing items that will last a generation or more. Peerless Handcraft is virtually zero waste. Learn more HERE.
